CI-Disclaimer - Störung - Mailfluss wiederhergestellt
Stand: 04.07.2025 10:50 Uhr
OperationCanceledException System.OperationCanceledException: The operation was canceled.
Wir können also keine E-Mails zurücksenden, weil der Server nicht verfügbar ist. Damit baut sich Ihre Queue auf. Diese wird im Prinzip First-In – Last-Out abgehandelt. Alte Mails benötigen also länger während neue schon verarbeitet werden.
Users may experience timeout failures when accessing their mailboxes via multiple Exchange Online connection methods
Issue ID: EX1107119 Affected services: Exchange Online Status: Service degradation Issue type: Incident Start time: 1 Jul 2025, 09:36 CEST
More info Impacted connection methods include:
- Messaging API (MAPI) - Outlook on the web
Some users may also experience delays when sending or receiving email messages while the issue is ongoing. Affected users also may be unable to view the calendars of other users in their organization, if those users are located in Germany, in Exchange Online. Affected users that have access to the Outlook mobile app can use this to bypass impact while we work to understand and address the source of this issue.
Scope of impact Impact is specific to some in Germany users accessing their mailboxes through MAPI and Outlook on the web.
Root cause A section of infrastructure, responsible for facilitating service access via multiple connection methods, is performing below acceptable performance thresholds and causing impact.
Current status 3 Jul 2025, 21:32 CEST We’ve validated with a subset of affected users that users may be unable to view the calendars of other users in their organization, if those users are located in Germany, in Exchange Online. We’ve added this impact scenario to the “More info” section of our communication. We’re continuing to monitor the environment after the improvements for MAPI connections were implemented to validate we’re still seeing positive signs of service health returning to expected levels. In parallel, we’re continuing to implement additional performance optimizations to the Outlook on the web infrastructure in an effort to fully resolve the issue. We’ll provide a remediation timeline as one becomes available. Next update by: Friday 4 July 2025 at 19:00 CEST
History of updates 3 Jul 2025, 18:20 CEST Our monitoring of the environment after the improvements for MAPI connections shows positive signs of service health returning to expected levels. In parallel, we’re continuing to implement additional performance optimizations to the Outlook on the web infrastructure in an effort to fully resolve the issue. We’ll provide a remediation timeline as one becomes available. 2 Jul 2025, 18:30 CEST We’re continuing to monitor the environment to validate continued improvements for MAPI connections to ensure they return to expected health. We’re also continuing to implement an additional infrastructure fix for Outlook on the web to further reduce the impact to users. 2 Jul 2025, 12:56 CEST Following the implementation of our fix to assist with load distribution and performance, we’ve observed through monitoring that users utilizing the MAPI connection method may experience some relief from the issue. However, we noted that monitoring associated with Outlook on the web does not show any improvement. While we continue to monitor to ensure issues with MAPI are resolved, we’re applying a supplementary fix to infrastructure specific for regulating the Outlook on the web connection method to alleviate impact. 2 Jul 2025, 02:05 CEST We’ve implemented the fix to assist with load distribution and performance for affected portions of Exchange Online service infrastructure and we intend to perform an extended monitoring period during peak network traffic hours, as well further review the affected infrastructure, to ensure that further mitigating actions are not required. 1 Jul 2025, 23:44 CEST We’re in the initial stage of implementing a fix to assist with load distribution and performance for affected portions of Exchange Online service infrastructure, which we anticipate will resolve impact for affected users. We aim to provide an update on our timeline to mitigation as one becomes available. 1 Jul 2025, 21:43 CEST Our analysis of recently implemented portions of Exchange Online service infrastructure for the impacted region in Germany for possible configuration or performance optimization issues is ongoing. This analysis is essential to help us to determine our next mitigation steps to resolve impact, and we aim to provide updates on our next troubleshooting steps when available. 1 Jul 2025, 19:42 CEST We’re analyzing recently implemented portions of Exchange Online service infrastructure for the impacted region in Germany for possible configuration or performance optimization issues. This analysis will help us to determine our next mitigation steps to resolve impact. 1 Jul 2025, 17:43 CEST Our analysis of performance details and system logs is ongoing and will help us to understand the source of the issue. Our analysis will help us to determine our next troubleshooting steps and what performance optimizations we can implement to resolve impact. 1 Jul 2025, 15:37 CEST We’ve confirmed that a section of infrastructure, responsible for facilitating service access via multiple connection methods, is performing below acceptable performance thresholds and causing impact. We’re reviewing performance details and system logs to understand the source of the issue, additionally, we’re also assessing potential immediate mitigation options including optimizing performance parameters. 1 Jul 2025, 14:00 CEST We’ve identified that a section of infrastructure, responsible for facilitating service access via multiple connection methods, may be performing below acceptable performance thresholds and causing impact. We’re reviewing further collected system logs and traces to validate the root cause, in order to develop a remediation plan. 1 Jul 2025, 11:55 CEST We’re proceeding with our review of service monitoring telemetry and system logs to identify the root cause. 1 Jul 2025, 10:02 CEST We’re reviewing service monitoring telemetry to isolate the root cause and develop a remediation plan. 1 Jul 2025, 09:39 CEST We’re investigating a potential issue and checking for impact to your organization. We’ll provide an update within 60 minutes.
